"Peak is about the Dolomites, the UNESCO heritage Alpine range known as "the pale mountains". The book illustrates the cyclicality affecting the Dolomites by focusing on the progressive morphing of summer into winter, dusk into dawn, whiteness into blackness, roughness into softness. The apex-nadir binomial frames the continuous pendular oscillation between two extremes. As such, Peak gives back the material fleetingness of the ever-changing Alpine environment through a publication that is at once an insight and an index of the eternal return conditioning the Dolomites. The volume unfolds as a circular paper dance between opposites continuously swapping the lead.
