על הספר
This book is a narrative of E-Company, Rathfarnham, Irish volunteers. They were men who followed their Captain, Padraig Pearse, to proclaim an independent free Ireland in 1916 and to hold and defend it. After the execution of Pearse, they fought the British Empire until it sought a truce. Their story tells why they did it and brings us into their minds at the most momentous moments of their lives. This book is based on statements, interviews and writings that the men of Pearse's own left us and carefully woven into their own unique story. It is a truly remarkable story of courage, bravery, and sacrifice in the pursuit of Irish freedom. -- Publisher description
