Pet names and history A-Z

"Have you ever wondered how different animals became pets to people? Even the littlest of animals have managed to help people. Ferrets worked as mouses aboard ships as well as the better-known cats. Dogs and horses went to war. At speeds of 50-60 miles an hour, pigeons would dodge bullets to relay war-time messages. Besides being our heroes, pets are also our friends and loving companions. In addition to a history of how different animals became our pets, this book includes a list of hundreds of pet names. Each name included within the A-Z of names has a story. The names include pets in history, those owned by famous movie and television stars, cartoon and television-created pets, and animals who became heroes and were honored with awards. This book is a must-have for any pet owner"--
