Prophecy and mysticism

"In Prophecy and Mysticism - The Heart of the Postmodern Church, Professor Mary Grey examines our fragmented lives and the means by which we may begin to draw them together. For example, she considers the tension between the desire to work in order to change the world and the desire to escape from the world, exploring how feminist dimensions of prophecy and mysticism can resolve such tensions." "Professor Grey argues that the isolated prophet or mystic is no longer relevant and that it is only through the formation of prophetic communities of faith that our modern sense of fragmentation can be addressed."--Jacket.
