S.B.C., house on the sand?

The Southern Baptist Convention is often referred to as one of the most conservative mainline denominations in America, yet in recent years heated confrontations between conservatives and liberals have marked the annual SBC meetings. Many pastors and laymen alike are asking, "Where is the SBC headed? Is it creeping liberalism or controlling liberalism that has appeared in the schools and agencies? Is conservatism actually gaining strength within the SBC, as some have claimed?" These are the questions that this book answers with accuracy and frankness. The author recounts the history of the Convention and surveys all of the seminaries and major agencies to find out what SBC leaders really believe. He lets the officials and professors speak for themselves. - Back cover.
