Shifting boundaries of knowledge

In 2004 the National research foundation (NRF) initiated a foresight exercise on the challenges of knowledge-making in social sciences, law and the humanities (SSLH) in South Africa in the 21st century. The main contributions to this project are collected in this volume. It is designed to open horizons about the value of and prospects for SSLH research, while simultaneously promoting and stimulating scholarship in this domain.
