Shunning to shining

In Shunning to Shining, Tim Lapp shares the trials and travails of his Amish grandfather, a larger-than-life man whose early adulthood was defined by alcoholism, poor decisions, and disappointment. His eventual shunning from the Amish community lowered a curtain of shame on his family, threatening to forever taint their identity. But Tim's father, Manny, refused to let the actions of his own father define him. Ironically, Manny Lapp would go on to become an electrician, start a successful business, and rebuild the family name. Shunning to Shining is more than simply a book about the growth of a business. It's the story of hardship, perseverance, and redemption.
