Six months off

"This is the warm and humorous odyssey of an American family living an American dream - escaping to Australia. While "swiveling in the governor's chair" for eight years, Lamar Alexander had noticed his four children drifting toward their mother's end of the dinner table. So on the very day he was sworn out of office, father and family rejoined for six glorious months in the Land Down Under. This retreat from the merry-go-round of power became Dad's opportunity to rediscover what was really important. His struggles to identify himself and a role in a family accustomed only to his "quality-time" presence at the dinner table are both hilarious and touching." -- Book jacket.
