Sport, Sexualities and Queer/Theory

"Sport, Sexualities and Queer/Theory is an introduction to current debates over gender, sexuality, queer and queer theory as they relate to sport. It is the first book to address this largely silent and often stigmatised aspect of sports culture, providing access to an emergent area of study within the sociology of sport. With contributions from researchers on three continents, the book documents and explores gay, lesbian, transgender, and transsexual experiences of sport, combining theoretical analysis with recent and original research findings."--Jacket.
