Bella Fairbanks' friend, Judge McNamara, has signed up to participate in the annual 3-day fishing contest, sponsored by The West Denver, Trout Unlimited, ending in a benefit dinner for the charity; whose purpose was to conserve Colorado's coldwater fisheries. What do you get when a hundred fishermen get together in one room? FISH STORIES! FISHY STORIES! And FISHY FISH STORIES ABOUT FISHING. But it's all good fun … as long as you don't believe everything you hear. As Judge McNamara explained to Bella, "You have to understand something about fishermen, for some reason, every time a fisherman tells a tale, it gets a little longer, a little more bizarre, a little more amazing. And after a number of years and a number of retellings, no one can really remember what actually happened. But there is bound to be a grain of truth in the fishiest of fish stories; well, possibly a grain of truth, but even that may be stretching it."
