על הספר
Martin Strong has earned a reputation as a music writer the hard way - by compiling massive tomes rich in detail and brimming with sharp, insightful observations. He made his name with the bestselling The Great Rock Discography which sold more than a quarter of a million copies in its eight-edition publishing history. Now Strong turns his attention to the world of folk, charting the musical careers of the most influential folk musicians in recording history. The book is divided into American and British-based artists, but it also includes traditional Scottish, Irish, European and Australian performers. The Great Folk Discography ends with an invaluable guide to Cult Collectables - mainly one-LP bands from the 1970s whose recordings command premium prices. T̀he last word in rock'n'roll trainspotting, there isn't a better guide on the market' The Guardian. Ìnsanely meticulous' The Independent. À Herculean labour of love ... Strong should provide hours of useful diversions for record collectors' Q --Book Jacket.
