The New Jackals

"Ramzi Yousef, the British-educated Islamic extremist who masterminded the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, was, according to FBI agents who tracked him, the most dangerous man in the world. While on the run from a massive two-year international manhunt, Yousef bombed a Philippine Airlines flight and an Iranian temple, and plotted simultaneously to destroy eleven American airplanes over the Pacific, to attack CIA headquarters using a light aircraft armed with chemical weapons, and to assassinate President Clinton, the pope, and other world leaders.". "Drawing on previously unpublished documents and on interviews with FBI agents, Western intelligence sources, and Yousef's supporters, victims, and collaborators, Simon Reeve paints a compelling and disconcerting portrait of this sinister villain. He also examines Yousef's close links with Osama bin Laden, the shadowy figure behind global Islamic terrorism, and assesses the current status of bin Laden's network, including his support within the Middle East and his growing relationship with Saddam Hussein."--BOOK JACKET.
