The One Who Kisses

“*There is always one who kisses, And one who offers the cheek."* It is inevitable that in every love affair there is one who cares more than the other. But Kate Osborne was not one to bear for long the humiliation of being “the one who kisses”! She had met Hal Weston in Sydney and become engaged to him. Then she went to stay with his family on their enormous farm in Western Australia and immediately it seemed to her that Hal was different. He was magnificently handsome and he was rich, but he did not give Kate the attention an engaged girl was entitled to expect. Had he changed, or was he really very selfish - and cruel? How did he measure up to such a person as Rick Benallen? Rick was no less lighthearted and certainly no less handsome, but somehow there was a dependability about him that Hal lacked. This most romantic of novels, set in the heart of the Australian "deep south," introduces a new writer of great promise.
