The shallow man

Fear not the Shallow Man,/For all that is lost is one night. Such is the credo of Nick Laws, the suave hand model and party promoter who lives on the other side of the velvet ropes. Nick's world is a social network run by Thing, his generic name for gorgeous fashion models and other beautiful women. He knows the agencies where Thing works, the buildings where she lives, and the clubs where she parties. His is a prowler's life, and his art is spontaneity. While the rest of the politically correct world says No, Nick Laws says, Yes, do it! Do it now! and, what's more, Do it again!. Nick's world is an exclusive but fascinating arena populated by Bookers, Dromes, Donuts, Civilians, Snappers, 4B Girls, Guy, and, of course, Thing - a world of fast-food romance, delicious sex, vicious grunge rock, and mind-boggling glamour. There's a drug involved, too, and it's called hotness. It's Nick Laws's obsession, and he's not in denial about it. The Shallow Man is his confession.
