How can intangible experiences be represented? Aware of the creative power of taking photographs, on the one hand, and of its futility on the other, in the past years, Tobias Kruse (*1979) has captured inexpressible moments in life: the shape of an object, the certainty that an injury is about to occur, the birth of children, and the bliss of their skin. He has concentrated them in an open, journal-like picture atlas that invokes the intensity of the present as well as the recurring loops of time. At the same time, the narrative is neither closed nor defined.
