Tommy's race

"Well," I said, "the guys and me decided that we are sick of doing chores, so we are going to run away to the clubhouse for the whole summer." "Really?" Dad said. "Is that the plan then?" I said, "Yes, that is the plan." Over the summer, Tommy and the rest of the boys in his club make friends with William, who uses a wheelchair, compete in field day contests at the park, and enlist the whole town's support in raising money to buy a wheelchair for a poor boy in Kenya who has polio. - Publisher.
