Transforming vision

Programmatic essays highlight the ways in which Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza's scholarship continues to construct a critical feminist theory and praxis of liberation, both in relation to the biblical text and its legacy and in relation to the the*logical and ecclesial setting of today. She seeks to free biblical studies and the*logy from disciplinary constraints and assumptions that have allowed them to acquiesce in and perpetuate forms of oppression; she seeks to dethrone kyriarchal structures and to foment genuinely egalitarian community in church and society.--Book jacket.
