This richly illustrated publication features new scholarship on the important artistic practice of watercolour in Queensland. Transparent is the first substantial publication of Queensland watercolours from the Gallery's Collection. Around 160 works feature in the publication, alongside a major curatorial essay by exhibition curator Michael Hawker, extensive plates and selected expanded texts, conservation notes, artist biographies and a bibliography.
