Un pintor de Alejandría

"José Jiménez Lozano, winner of the Miguel de Cervantes Prize 2002, returns to captivate us with this clever and funny story about the adventures of a group of people that want to rebuild time damaged church paintings. To this Don Absalom, the village priest, instigates Juan de Salinas to go to find a painter in the distant land of Alexandria. The strange situations experienced on the journey, the conversations the artist has in Castile, and painting effects are described well in the original accurate and prose of the author. It is a story full of intelligent and wacky humor and a tender metaphor of the end of time."--Cataloger translation of the back cover.
