Underplugged

*Underplugged* follows a speed-freak subterranean’s restless battle with the Menace, a dark force symbolizing the essence of chemical dependence, as he experiments with various hallucinogenic and depressant compounds, reported via radio and television transmissions, punctuated by asides from his drug-induced alter ego, Agent K. Oss. Alongside his partner Sierra and longtime friend Darcy, he chases the elusive Terminal Zero headspace, a “cure-all” for addiction, while dissociated vignettes sketch grotesque caricatures of modern society, each more disordered than the last. --- **[*Underplugged*](https://archive.org/details/underplugged_ridner) © 2025 by [James Ridner](https://substack.com/@jsridner) is licensed under [CC BY-NC 4.0](https://www.creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/).**
