Vintage Laughter

Vintage Laughter features five long-forgotten comedy plays from the 19th century. Wildly politically incorrect, with scenarios so incredulous they almost give modern sitcoms a run for their money, these theatrical gems are calculated to amuse and educate -- for while they are certainly products of their time and reflect the attitudes of the day, they are also valuable time capsules through which we can gain a glimpse into the past. Of the five plays in this book, ***Scenes in the Union Depot*** by Laura Mathilda Stephenson Parsons is almost well known. Stephenson was a prolific writer in her day, and if you can find her plays offered online, you will pay through the nose for them. Everyone else in this play has been forgotten. Say hello to them once again, and enjoy.
