Way down

Jerry Scheff played session bass with some of the great names in popular music, including Neil Diamond, Nancy Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, John Denver, and others. In this book, he gives his view of some of music's biggest names as their audiences never saw them: tired at the end of a session, burned out after a show, inspired by a new song. He blends memories of childhood and adolescence with anecdotes about studio sessions and encounters with a host of stars.
