Weites Feld

Looming thunderclouds, reflective water surfaces, and seas of urban light - the landscape plays a starring role in Martin Ziegelmüller's paintings. His painterly curiosity knows no bounds. It wakes up in the operating room or in the glass factory, and it aims itself at people and still lifes. The Swiss painter pursues his themes for decades and transforms them through constantly changing perspectives, in which atmospheric moods, light and reflections move ever closer to the center. The more demanding the view, the greater is his desire to engage with the spell of light. This richly illustrated, opulent book documents the work of Martin Ziegelmüller and invites you to discover entirely new, insightful essays.
