Whereabouts

The poems collected in this, Mark Roper's third full collection, explore the mystery of the self, its relation to nature and to others, its unpredictability and unknowability. "A butterfly // on a windowsill - // a child's suit. // The suit which fitted so perfectly // when I was young. The one I thought would grow with me. The only one // ever that fitted properly. My life // where did it go? // My life that did not grow."--"Suit" (p. 17).
