Who Are You to Say?

In a post-Christian culture that offers dozens of choices on every important religious issue, how can Christians remain strong and relevant without succumbing to arrogance on the one hand or equivocation on the other? Confronting the indifference of political and consumerist forces, Christians must hold to what Rosenberger calls ''the odd distinctive logic of the gospel.'' The first half of the book maps out a twenty-first century cultural terrain for Christianity, devoid of the familiar landmarks of faith; the second half considers the place of Christ, the church, Scripture, and pastoral ministry in this challenging new terrain. This thought-provoking book will be a welcome resource for pastors, laypersons, and church-based study groups grappling with spiritual authority in these turbulent times.
