While director of the Ballet Frankfurt and now, with The Forsythe Company, he has transcended the boundaries of the genre, to great international acclaim. Working on the globe's major stages, he has redefined the parameters of the performing arts." "Presenting new installations and films, the publication provides a multilayered encounter with the human body and physical space, as well as with choreography and its production strategies. The monograph is accompanied by a text by William Forsythe as well as a dialogue between him and the critic and curator Daniel Birnbaum."--book jacket.
