Anthony Adoré is an American writer of memoir and spiritual non-fiction, working in a Catholic register that stays close to how faith, grief and desire are actually lived rather than argued. He is the author of *Fractions of the Soul: A Tale of Rocks and Blades* (BookBaby, 2021) and *Confessions to the Empty Chair: A Memoir of Heaven, Hell, and Eden* (BookBaby, 2026). The latter draws on a West Texas childhood, a Catholic university education in Dallas and a semester in Rome, and takes its governing image from Tolkien's Ainulindalë: two songs sounding at once, one deep and sorrowful and one loud and repetitive, and a life spent learning to tell them apart.
