Christian apologetics commonly cites a list of 351 Old Testament prophecies said to have been fulfilled by Jesus of Nazareth, together with a probability argument that no one man could have fulfilled so many by chance. This book works through the entire list rather than a selection, quoting each passage at length, reading it in its own context, and testing it against the standard set in Deuteronomy 18:22 — that a genuine prophecy is a specific, checkable claim about the future. Rather than following the list in its original order, the 351 claims are regrouped by how each one fails: predictions that did not come about; phrases lifted from passages whose surrounding content went unfulfilled; texts already fulfilled by Solomon, Eliakim, Zerubbabel, the Davidic line or the nation of Israel; readings that depend on a particular translation or on the New Testament rewording the Old; and verses that were never predictions at all, but law, liturgy, lament, narrative or genealogy. Every chapter quotes the passage in full and cites the verse range precisely, so a reader can check the argument against their own Bible. An Index of Claims at the back lists all 351 in the order the apologetics sources give them, so any single claim can be looked up directly. The author is an ordained minister and an atheist; both facts are disclosed in the book's opening pages.
