A demand for drawings

From the foreword by Morgan Library director Colin B. Bailey:0"Drawings have long been objects that bring like-minded people together: to discuss, exchange, buy, sell, or simply to share in their appreciation. It is no surprise, then, that this volume of essays devoted to the collecting of drawings emerges from the efforts of the Morgan's Drawing Institute, which aims to create a community of scholars, students, and art lovers working to advance knowledge in the field."
