"[W]e ... republish Almanach na rok 1914 (1913) that has been for many years neglected by Czech literary history. This ... group manifestation of the pre-war Czech avant-garde ... is an important milestone in the development of Czech literature anticipating the postwar avant-garde. The volume contains the re-edition of the Almanac that is now published to mark the 100th anniversary of its first and only publication in 1913 and the critical essay by Erik Gilk."--page 144.
