This annotated bibliography of children's books contains 724 titles from 29 countries printed between 1950 and 1966 - all in English, many in translation. The titles, organized by genre, have been selected for their high quality. Each annotation includes publishing history, suggested age range, country of origin, and a plot summary. An introductory essay provides an overview of the field of international children's literature and suggestions on sharing international books with children. Grades K-8.
