Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules is a children's novel by Jeff Kinney, first published in 2008. It is the second book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and it follows Greg Heffley, a middle school student, through the everyday pressures of school and family life. Written in English and presented with Kinney's mix of text and drawings, it keeps the diary format that makes the series easy to pick up and quick to read.

This book is a good fit for readers who like short, funny stories about school, siblings, and the awkward side of growing up. It can also work well for younger readers who want something more approachable than a long novel, since the illustrations are part of the storytelling throughout. If you already like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid style, this continues in the same lane with the same kind of humor, everyday tension, and close look at family and school relationships.
