The recognition that nutritional neglect can occur in modern hospital practice has led to the establishment of a nutrition team in several centres. The formation of such a team at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford has enabled an evaluation and improvement of feeding techniques to be carried out and has developed an invaluable co-operation between doctor, nurse, pharmacist, dietitian and biochemist.
