Fleeced!

Considering a seachange? You might want to think again. Melanie Francis is a voluptuous jazz musician and part-time typist on the lookout for love. When a strapping country lad charges into her life, she's convinced she's finally found a man with grunt Gary Quartermaine has it all - good looks, a sizeable property and, best of all, the ability to take charge. But is there more to Melanie's Denim Price than meets the eye? Can she live without Carmen Miranda and the Salsa Kings? And what's a city girl to do with an electro-ejaculator? In her sparkling debut, Lisa Thompson takes us on a romp through jazz clubs of inner-city Melbourne and the wide open spaces of idyllic country Victoria. 'Fleeced!' Might just be the story that gives city boys back their pride.
