About the book

Haggai's exhortation to rebuild the temple and promise that the messianic kingdom would come. Zechariah's visions of encouragement and promises of salvation centered on a coming king. Malachi's "disputes" between God and the covenant community. Three neglected but important prophets receive a fresh and penetrating analysis in this introduction and commentary. For each prophet's work, Joyce Baldwin first considers the general issues of author, text and message, and then offers a passage-by-passage commentary marked by a high degree of spiritual insight. - Back cover.
