Twenty years into the HIV/AIDS pandemic, social and behavioral research on HIV/AIDS remains limited. Data on sexual behavior and AIDS-related knowledge and attitudes are sparse and difficult to compare. This publication highlights findings from a series of national demographic and health surveys that are directly relevant to the AIDS epidemic.
