"How awesome is this place!" (Genesis 28:17)

"In his reflections Don Osuma lets the reader see into the struggles of a young priest and artist in a time of great change and ambiguity in the Catholic Church. Students of church history and liturgy should read Don's memories of this transformative period. They will find a post Vatican II community that took possession of its liturgy and let the liturgy posses them. During a period when new liturgical texts were being prepared, the Oakland Cathedral made transitional adaptations that should remind all liturgists that Divine Worship is not a product of its texts, but of a holy people." -- Book jacket flap.
