McCracken in command

"The Union froces were taking a beating and orders came for retreat. Colonel Brubaker and his troops abandoned their positions, but Captian McCracken mistook the retreat order and held his ground. McCracken's men ended up routing the Confederates, making Brubaker look like a fool. The paths of the two men once more crossed, at an outpostin Sioux country. Brubaker knew that McCracken was going to make one more mistake - a last, violent one, courtesy of Colonel Brubaker" --Back cover.
