Murder at the Opera

*Murder at the Opera* offers a treat for mystery buffs and opera lovers alike. Here we have eleven tales of mystery and mayhem, all set in the world of opera. Although the book contains stories by such masters of mystery as Agatha Christie and Rex Stout, readers will be surprised to find contributions by the composer Hector Berlioz and soprano Helen Traubel. Locations for the stories include the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera House in New York and the San Francisco Opera. Operas which feature in the stories are: *La Traviata*, *Carmen*, *Tosca* and *Die Walküre*. Ranging from classics by the likes of O. Henry and James Yaffe to works appearing in book form for the first time, the stories in *Murder at the Opera* make a unique contribution to the mystery genre.
