My New New York Diary With DVD

In 2008, director Michel Gondry (Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Green hornet, You'll like this film because you're in it) wrote to cartoonist Julie Doucet (My New York diary, Elle-humour) to propose that they make a film together. The duo settled on a unique combination of drawing and film that involved inserting "real" Julie into a landscape of her own imagery. In keeping with both artists' interests in memory and autobiography, the subject of this film is their collaboration itself.
