Political film

Third cinema is cinema committed to social and cultural emancipation, as opposed to First cinema (dominant, commercial) and Second cinema (arthouse, auteur). Through discussions of an eclectic range of films, and the figure of the bandit, this book is a polemical call for a film criticism that is politically engaged with the life of the masses.
