About the book
"Contemporary artists who use photography have engaged in new strategies of representation. 'Relative Positions' explores these developments in the work of Amy Adler, Liza May Post, and Francesca Woodman. The exhibition examines how these artists considered surrealist and conceptual practices to devise a different vocabulary and to tackle new issues...While forming a dialogue that focuses on the meaning of works by artists from more recent generations, the exhibition revisits the weight and pertinence of Woodman's work in regard to their concerns." -- Paola Morsiani, page 6.
