Rex Trailer

For the four million New Englanders who grew up in the Fifties and Sixties, there was no television show more memorable than Rex Trailer's Boomtown. This book, crammed with pictures of Rex and his sidekicks, will bring those memories alive again. Interviews with Trailer, Sargeant Billy, "Cactus Pete," and many others involved with the show and Rex's travel organization, remind us how this authentic Texas cowboy helped mold the youth of a generation with a kind of family entertainment seldom seen today. Rex's colleagues and guest stars were and are legion: Jerry Lewis talks of Rex's efforts on behalf of the MDA campaign, and we meet people like Arthur Godfrey, Jock Mahoney, Gabby Hayes, Jayne Mansfield and Gene Autry in words and photographs. Don't miss this return trip to Boomtown!
