About the book
Published to accompany an exhibition held at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University, this oversized catalog (10x11") presents an essay about Brown's life and art by Sidney Lawrence, who was guest curator, with several photos of the artist and his studios. The paintings from the exhibition are reproduced in full-page color plates. A list of Brown's paintings in southern collections, a timeline of his life, and a list of further reading are provided.
