Square Pegs

Best friends Patty Greene and Lauren Hutchinson have one goal in their freshman year at Weemawee High - they're going to be part of the in-crowd, even if it kills them! It just might - as nearsighted Patty is painfully shy, and Lauren's well-meant but scatterbrained schemes are constantly flopping. Trying to make friends with "killer couple" Jennifer DeNuccio and Vinnie Pasetta turns each school day into a challenge. And although the girls have won the admiration of class clown Marshall Blechtman and the new waver Johnny Slash, they still haven't scored any popularity points in the right places. But Patty and Lauren are determined to make it. Will they ever click with the school's hottest clique? A novelization of the 1980s cult hit with future star Sarah Jessica Parker, this book is an adaptation of the episodes "Square Pigskins," "A Cafeteria Line" and "The Stepanowicz Papers."
