The Baby Doctor

'They say the right people turn up in your life at the right time if you let them.' Brilliant, headstrong 'baby doctor' Sienna Wilson is living her perfect life in the city - a rewarding obstetrics job in a leading hospital, an apartment with a view, and a handsome police officer, Sergeant Douglas McCabe, on call whenever he's in town. When he asks her to investigate a medical mystery surrounding newborn babies in the outback town of Spinifex, she's keen to rekindle their fling. But living in the barren desert certainly doesn't appeal. Sienna arrives to a community riddled with secrets. Maddy Locke, a young woman working at the local pub has a few of them. Her boyfriend, Jacob, is bad news and she has no one to turn to until Sienna shows up in town looking for an assistant. Gradually Maddy begins to trust Sienna, along with tough-as-nails publican Alma Toms. When her secret can't be hidden any longer, Maddie knows she's no longer alone. As the three women gather together at The Desert Rose Hotel, new friendships, new loves and new lives blossom, proving that when strong women join forces, they can overcome even the greatest odds."--Publisher description.
