The Italian brothers

"This well researched historical novel explores the saga of the author's father and uncle while they served in the Italian Army and Navy. As a naval intelligence officer Alberto was in Rome, privy to the most dangerous secrets of the war and an active member of the resistance to the Nazis. His brother Vittorio, wounded and captured at Tobruk in Libya, ended up in a British POW camp in India where he remained until 1947 because he retained his allegiance to Mussolini and the fascist regime. The two brothers didn't know about each other's fate for the duration of the war and made opposite choices with tragic consequences"--P. [4] of cover.
