The lights of man

*The Lights of Man : the philosophical lyric poetry* (2021), is a collection of poems by the Romanian writer, poet and philosopher Dumitru Găleșanu, originally written and published in Romanian, under the title *Luminile omului: lirica filosofică* (2020). This edition is an English translation by Andreea Moise. A major work by a poet-philosopher with an authentic and irrepressible metaphysical vocation, *The Lights of Man* combines the terms of concrete existential reality with the poetic imaginal and the abstract-philosophical concept, creating a profound spiritual vision of the condition and role of man in the universe and in contemporary society. Reflecting on the relationship between microcosm and macrocosm, Găleșanu's poetic art targets the very complexity of the objective reality of the world.
