About the book
""Don't be alarmed. It's only a laser sword fight. Don't be scared. It's only the Death Star destroying another world. Relax, it's only a movie, and it's all for fun." So began the ad campaign for a 1977 "space fantasy" that theaters resisted booking for fear that no one would come see it. Thirty years, six films, and untold millions of fans later, The Star Wars Vault draws from the vast archives of Lucasfilm Ltd. to present a unique history and tribute to the films and innovations they sparked." "The Star Wars Vault includes: Fifty interactive, rare and some never-before-published memorabilia, including reproductions of Lucas's own handwritten script pages, flip-through catalogs, swag, posters, T-shirt transfers, stickers, blueprints, production notes, animation cels and much more; Hundreds of photos and pieces of artwork; and 2 CDs containing over 2 hours of vintage radio ads, original cast interviews, excerpts from the NPR Star Wars radio drama, Carrie Fisher's Holiday Special performance of Princess Leia's song, George Lucas's commentary, and other tracks that tell the story of everyone's favorite galactic saga as never before."--BOOK JACKET.
