Undeceived

Breaking the Chains of Religious Tradition to Discover Freedom in Christ's Redemption At eighteen, Eli Yoder made the courageous decision to leave behind the strict traditions of his Old-Order Amish upbringing. Venturing into the unknown "English" world, he set out on a journey that would challenge everything he had ever believed and ultimately lead him to the life-changing truths of the Bible. In *Undeceived*, Eli shares his raw and heartfelt story of breaking free from the bondage of legalism, religious tradition, and the challenges of an alcoholic parent. More than just a look inside Amish life, this memoir reveals a personal transformation through a deep and powerful encounter with Jesus Christ. It was through the core Gospel truths of Grace Alone, Faith Alone, and Christ Alone that Eli found true freedom—freedom that no man-made tradition could offer. While Eli's love for the Amish people remains strong, he candidly exposes the deceptions that kept him and others bound, showing that true salvation is not found in religious practices but in faith in Jesus. His testimony serves as an inspiration for anyone feeling trapped by their past, traditions, or life circumstances, encouraging them to find real freedom in Christ. Join Eli as he walks through his transformation from a life steeped in tradition to one led by the grace and truth of Christ. This is more than a story of leaving the Amish—it's a call to examine our own traditions, seek the truth of Jesus, and live undeceived.
